Job summary

Harris is seeking a Patient Services Representative to handle patient queries and billing concerns in a fully remote capacity. You will coordinate information between patients, families, medical personnel, and administrative staff while upholding HIPAA guidelines and company policies.

Applicants should have strong communication skills, be highly organized, and able to work with confidential information. Call center experience in medical accounts is a plus; flexibility with schedule is required.

Qualifications

• Preferably college graduate or at least 2 years in college.
• Degrees and courses related to medical field are a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.

• Able to perform simple mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls according to procedure and standards; assist patients in queries and concerns.
• Collect patients' outstanding balance and assist third-party entities (e.g., insurance) with queries about accounts.
• Place outbound collection calls and address billing queries.
• Ensure HIPAA guidelines are respected and patient information is safeguarded.
• Be a team player and support department and company goals.
• Maintain good attendance and punctuality; adhere to breaks and schedule.
