Job summary

GoLean Health is seeking a detail-oriented Virtual Medical Receptionist to support a US-based Neurology clinic. This remote role requires excellent communication, multi-tasking, and accurate handling of patient calls, referrals, and admin tasks.

You will manage appointments, verifications, prior authorizations, referrals, and patient inquiries while maintaining high service standards in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as Virtual Medical Assistant supporting a US-based clinic.
• Experience with appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and patient communication.
• Familiarity with healthcare workflows, medical terminology, and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently.
• Process medication prior authorization requests and communicate status with providers and patients.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility, coverage, and benefits prior to appointments.
• Receive, process, and track incoming and outgoing patient referrals.
• Answer inbound calls professionally and respond to patient inquiries and requests.
