Job summary

PeoplePartners BPO Inc. is seeking a US Medical Support Coordinator to work remotely during the Night Shift (EST) supporting a U.S.-based healthcare client. You’ll manage patient scheduling, referrals, insurance verification, and clinical documentation while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

You will work across several systems, prioritize accuracy, and communicate clearly with patients and providers. A strong emphasis on empathetic patient care and meticulous data handling is required.

Qualifications

• This role requires 2+ years in customer service, patient support, or a related role.
• Excellent spoken and written English with strong verbal communication and active listening.
• Ability to communicate professionally with patients, physician offices, providers, and internal teams.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with patient data and healthcare information.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, callbacks, referrals, and follow-ups.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound patient calls warmly and professionally.
• Guide patients from inquiry through appointment scheduling.
• Explain services, insurance coverage, and appointment expectations.
• Maintain calm, reassuring communication with anxious or frustrated patients.
• Schedule appointments, reminders, confirmations, and changes across time zones.
• Contact physician and provider offices for referrals and documentation.
• Follow up on referrals and documentation before appointments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and flag unclear coverage.
• Upload patient/provider documentation into the EMR.
• Maintain accurate patient demographics and records.
• Track callbacks, referrals, and tasks until completion.
• Document workflows and process updates in internal guides.
• Provide credentialing support as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
