Job summary

Health & Virtuals is hiring a Remote Virtual Medical Assistant to support documentation workflows and patient records for US-based practices. You will manage documentation, keep charts prepared for upcoming appointments, and ensure providers have accurate information.

The role requires HIPAA awareness, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within structured workflows using EHR, Google Workspace, and Slack.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare administration or EHR documentation is preferred.
• Proficient with digital tools and patient data handling.
• Ability to work within structured workflows and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Upload, organize, and maintain patient records including labs, referrals, intake forms, and supporting documents.
• Prepare patient charts ahead of scheduled visits to ensure provider readiness.
• Monitor task queues within the EHR and complete assigned documentation workflows.
• Track pending items such as referrals, labs, and follow-ups to ensure nothing is missed.
• Route tasks appropriately to maintain continuity across teams.
• Communicate with providers and internal teams to resolve missing or incomplete documentation.
• Route internal messages and updates based on established workflows.
• Ensure handoffs between departments are clean, timely, and accurate.
