Pearl Talent is seeking a Medical Records Retrieval Specialist for a fully remote, independent contractor position. You will ensure every request is complete, accurate, and compliant before moving downstream, handling research, QA checks, and proactive communication.

You will impact turnaround times and client satisfaction by maintaining high accuracy, coordinating workflows, and resolving ambiguities in collaboration with law firms and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Experience requesting medical records for law firms.
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong compliance and accuracy standards.
• Proficiency in PDF editing, merging, and form correction.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provider Research & Identification – Identify all medical providers involved in a client’s treatment beyond the initially submitted facility.
• Request Creation & Quality Control – Review ROI forms and correct missing or incorrect information; create clean base forms and perform detailed QA checks.
• Request Assignment & Workflow Coordination – Assign requests to appropriate records team members and ensure smooth handoffs with complete documentation.
• Edge Case Management & Escalation – Identify non-standard provider requirements and escalate issues with law firm case managers and internal teams.
