GoLean Health is seeking a Medical Virtual Assistant to support a busy chiropractic clinic. This remote role requires a proactive, highly detail-oriented individual who can own critical workflows with minimal supervision.

The role involves insurance verification, denied-claims handling, EOB processing, patient balance resolution, and claims support for US-based processes. Strong English communication and Mac OS proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support.
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong executive presence and professional communication style.
• Must be a Mac OS user.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven leadership, ownership, or high-accountability experience in a previous role.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance after check-in and document accurately.
• Review denied claims and assist with reprocessing.
• Review and clear EOB backlogs and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Review outstanding balances and coordinate resolutions.
• Support claims workflows including Cigna and VA.
• Assist with vendor payment coordination as needed.
• Monitor SOAP notes for completeness and compliance.
• Track missed and canceled appointments and trends.
• Prepare reports on balances, billing metrics, and insights.
