Job summary

Sourcefit is seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist (AR and Collections) to join our remote team. The role focuses on managing collection processes for TDD services, including contract analysis, reimbursement, denial management, appeals, and interfacing with payers for services rendered.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in medical billing and collections, home infusion or hospital experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex payer regulations

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of medical billing and collections experience.
• Home Infusion, hospital or chemotherapy experience required.
• Ability to interpret payer regulations and guidelines.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on submitted invoices to secure timely payments.
• Evaluate payments/denials for accuracy and proper application.
• Identify bad debt write-offs and A/R adjustments per policies.
• Investigate overpayments and duplicate payments.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and compliance with regulatory mandates.
• Document all calls and actions in the system.
• Coordinate with other departments to obtain necessary information for claims.
• Resolve denials within 5 days of receipt.
• Maximize claim reimbursement opportunities.
• Communicate clearly with patients and payers.
