Qualifications

Must have proven experience as a Glass/Glazing Estimator on Australian projects.
Minimum 2 years in glazing estimation.
Strong knowledge of Australian glazing systems and construction practices.
Ability to read Australian drawings and specs.
Experience with quantity take-offs and cost estimation.
Proficient in estimating software and construction tools.
Excellent communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for glass and glazing projects based in Australia
Review and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements
Perform accurate quantity take-offs for glass, aluminum framing, hardware, and other glazing materials
Source and analyze supplier and subcontractor pricing based on Australian market standards
Prepare accurate quotations, budgets, and tender submissions
Identify potential cost risks, discrepancies, and project variations
Update estimates based on design changes and scope adjustments
Coordinate with project managers, builders, suppliers, and other stakeholders as needed
Ensure estimates comply with relevant Australian standards, building codes, and industry practices
Maintain accurate estimating records and documentation
