Job summary

MicroSourcing is hiring a Software Engineer specialized in GIS for OSP fiber network design, engineering, and construction planning. You will develop GIS solutions and automate workflows using Python, ArcPy, Pandas, and NumPy.

You will also build web mapping apps with ArcGIS API for JavaScript, Leaflet, or OpenLayers, and integrate GIS data with CAD tools like AutoCAD and MicroStation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in GIS development.
• Strong proficiency with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Experience with Python scripting for GIS automation (ArcPy, Jupyter Notebooks, Pandas, NumPy).
• Knowledge of SQL databases such as PostGIS, SQL Server, or Oracle and experience managing spatial data environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage GIS solutions to support OSP fiber network design, engineering, and construction planning.
• Build custom geoprocessing tools and automate GIS workflows using Python, including ArcPy, Pandas, and NumPy.
• Develop and maintain interactive web‑based mapping applications using ArcGIS API for JavaScript, Leaflet, or OpenLayers.
• Integrate GIS data with CAD platforms such as AutoCAD and MicroStation to support telecom network planning initiatives.
• Perform spatial analysis, route optimization, feasibility assessments, and cost estimation for fiber network projects.
• Configure and administer ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and Portal for ArcGIS environments while maintaining GIS datasets and network assets.
