Job summary

EPX: EPERFORMAX CONTACT CENTERS is seeking an OSP Design Engineer to produce detailed CAD drawings and design packages for fiber optic infrastructure. You will work closely with US-based field surveyors to convert data into permit-ready documents and ensure constructability in the field.

Responsibilities include drafting permit drawings, base maps, and splice schematics, while updating GIS databases and plant maps to reflect current network conditions.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting or Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed CAD drawings and design packages for OSP fiber infrastructure: fiber cable routes, conduit systems, pole placements, and splice schematics.
• Translate field surveyor notes, sketches, photos, and survey data into accurate CAD and GIS deliverables.
• Draft permit drawings, traffic control plans, base maps, and as-built documentation for submission to municipalities, state DOTs, and other permitting authorities.
• Prepare ROW, encroachment, railroad, and traffic control plan packages per jurisdiction requirements.
• Develop splice schematics, fiber assignment diagrams, and conduit/cable designs for aerial, buried, and underground environments.
• Update and maintain plant maps, GIS databases, and engineering records to reflect current network conditions and post-construction changes.
• Coordinate with OSP engineers and project managers to ensure drawings reflect design intent and are constructable in the field.
• Self-review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and standards compliance before QC submission.
• Meet all internal handoff deadlines; flag schedule risks early

Job description

We are hiring OSP Design Engineers to create detailed technical drawings, route maps, and design packages for outside plant (OSP) fiber optic infrastructure – working hand-in-hand with US-based field surveyors who provide on-the-ground assessments and delivering permit-ready packages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed CAD drawings and design packages for OSP fiber infrastructure: fiber cable routes, conduit systems, pole placements, and splice schematics
• Translate field surveyor notes, sketches, photos, and survey data into accurate CAD and GIS deliverables
• Draft permit drawings, traffic control plans, base maps, and as-built documentation for submission to municipalities, state DOTs, and other permitting authorities
• Prepare right-of-way (ROW), encroachment, railroad, and traffic control plan packages per jurisdiction requirements
• Develop splice schematics, fiber assignment diagrams, and conduit/cable designs for aerial, buried, and underground environments
• Update and maintain plant maps, GIS databases, and engineering records to reflect current network conditions and post-construction changes
• Coordinate with OSP engineers and project managers to ensure drawings reflect design intent and are constructable in the field
• Self-review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and standards compliance before QC submission

Qualification:

• Position open to Philippines residents only to work on-site in Pasay City
• Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field (Bachelor's in Engineering welcome)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation (2D production drafting)
• Knowledge of OSP infrastructure: aerial, underground, and buried plant
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven production environment
• Good written English for drawing annotations and team coordination
• Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field (Bachelor's in Engineering welcome)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation (2D production drafting)
• 6 months' experience with AT&T platforms and design standards
• Customer service-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Willing to work independently and as part of a team

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with GIS tools: ArcGIS, QGIS, 3GIS
• Experience with Google Earth/Maps and KMZ/KML route files
• Exposure to OSPInsight or similar fiber management platforms
• Experience preparing permit drawing packages
• FOA Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) or equivalent
