Job summary

MicroSourcing is hiring a Geographic Information System Engineer to develop and manage GIS solutions for OSP fiber network design and construction planning. You will build custom geoprocessing tools and automate workflows using ArcPy, Pandas, and NumPy, and develop web-based mapping apps with ArcGIS API for JavaScript, Leaflet, or OpenLayers.

The role involves integrating GIS data with CAD tools like AutoCAD and MicroStation, performing spatial analyses, route optimization, and cost estimation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage GIS solutions to support OSP fiber network design, engineering, and construction planning.
• Build custom geoprocessing tools and automate GIS workflows using Python, including ArcPy, Pandas, and NumPy.
• Develop and maintain interactive web-based mapping applications using ArcGIS API for JavaScript, Leaflet, or OpenLayers.
• Integrate GIS data with CAD platforms such as AutoCAD and MicroStation to support telecom network planning initiatives.
• Perform spatial analysis, route optimization, feasibility assessments, and cost estimation for fiber network projects.
• Configure and administer ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and Portal for ArcGIS environments while maintaining GIS datasets and network assets.
