Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced full-cycle bookkeeper to manage multiple client files in a remote, async-friendly environment. You will handle reconciliations, A/P, A/R, journal entries, and month-end close across clients with strict deadlines.

You will collaborate with clients outside your country, adhere to written instructions, and participate in onboarding with training for QuickBooks Online or Xero; strong English is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in accounting or bookkeeping in a firm, BPO, or international multi-client environment.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CPA/CA/CIMA/ACA) or in progress.
• Experience with multiple clients, separate books with deadlines.
• Full cycle bookkeeping: reconciliations, A/P, A/R, journal entries, accruals and prepaids.
• Experience with month-end close and meeting deadlines.
• QuickBooks Online or Xero experience; QB Online certification provided on onboarding.
• Can follow written instructions precisely.
• Experience working with clients outside country (US/Canada/UK/Australia).
• English strong enough to be understood in writing and on a live call.

Responsibilities

• Full-cycle bookkeeping across a portfolio of client files.
• Support month-end close: reconciliations, schedules, supporting workpapers.
• Record payroll entries, prepaids, and accruals accurately.
• Prepare sales tax filings and remittances.
• Check own work before review; catching your own errors is part of the job.
• Raise discrepancies clearly and early, with what you have already checked.
• Action review notes fully and on time, including the ones that were not itemised for you.
