Job summary

Hint Health is seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead one of the Clinical Engineering teams, combining people leadership with hands-on coding to deliver EMR workflows at scale.

You will work with a tech lead, engineers, and cross-functional partners to ensure reliable delivery, architectural alignment, and strong code quality in a fast-paced product environment.

This is a remote position; candidates must reside in Uruguay, Mexico, or Costa Rica and be legally eligible to work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years managing engineering teams in a software environment.
• Hands-on contributor comfortable coding weekly in a product team.
• Experience with web technologies: JavaScript, TypeScript, React.
• Ability to align product, design and engineering goals across teams.
• Experience with cloud-based, scalable systems and modern CI/CD.
• Strong communication, mentoring, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 4–5 engineers.
• Deliver Clinical EMR features with high quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to clarify requirements and scope.
• Guide architecture decisions and manage technical debt.
• Triage issues, unblock blockers, and contribute to code when needed.
