Job summary

Petra Brands seeks a Product & Crafts Designer for House of Party, a core brand focused on DIY and trend-driven party goods. You’ll design craft concepts, packaging, and seasonal lines, guiding them from ideation to production.

Collaborate with Head of Creatives, Sourcing, and Private Label to ensure quality, material feasibility, and brand consistency across catalogs and launches. Remote-friendly with a dynamic, design-forward culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Craft/Textile Design, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in retail product design, craft/DIY product development, packaging, gifting, or seasonal goods.
• Hands-on passion and expertise in physical crafting techniques (e.g., paper crafts, textiles, clay, DIY kits).
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign; familiarity with 3D or mockup tools (e.g., Blender, SolidWorks, Keyshot) is a plus.
• Good understanding of materials, print processes, dielines, packaging mechanics, and component-based product assembly.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and prototype creative DIY craft products, activity sets, and party items.
• Support in the creation and delivery of biannual retail product catalogs.
• Track progress of product and craft subcategories, ensuring deadlines for SKU definition, pricing, packaging, and samples are met.
• Coordinate with design, sourcing, and marketing teams to ensure all craft materials, assembly instructions, and visuals are ready for internal and retail presentations.
• Review physical samples, test assembly/craft mechanics, and provide design feedback during pre-production.
