Job summary

Petra Brands, a dynamic company with brands including House of Party, is seeking a Product Designer to craft new product concepts, packaging, and seasonal collections for the House of Party line. You will work closely with the Head of Creatives and cross-functional teams to ensure retail-ready, visually compelling designs that stay ahead of market trends.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in retail or private label product design, preferably within party products, packaging, gifting, or seasonal goods.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign; familiarity with 3D or mockup tools (e.g., Blender, SolidWorks, Keyshot) is a plus.
Good understanding of materials, print processes, dielines, and packaging mechanics.
Ability to balance creative thinking with practical design execution.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and teamwork skills — ability to collaborate with creatives, sourcing, and marketing teams effectively.
Interest in seasonal trends (Christmas, Halloween, Birthdays, etc.) relevant to the party industry.

Responsibilities

Design new product concepts and packaging for House of Party.
Contribute to biannual retail product catalogs.
Track SKU definitions, pricing, packaging, and samples with deadlines.
Coordinate with design, sourcing, and marketing for materials and visuals.
Collaborate with Head of Creatives, Sourcing, and Private Label on design direction.
Work with manufacturers to ensure quality, materials, and cost standards.
Review samples and provide feedback during pre-production.
Align product and packaging designs with brand guidelines and seasonal themes.
Develop cohesive product collections aligned with campaigns.
