Job summary

MM Concrete Construction is seeking an experienced Concrete Estimator / Quantity Takeoff Specialist in the Philippines to handle plan reviews, detailed takeoffs, and bid preparation for commercial concrete projects. This role requires independence, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple estimates with tight deadlines.

You will build cost models in Excel, review supplier pricing, and prepare bid proposals for slabs, foundations, piers, and curbs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on commercial concrete estimating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Proficient in Excel and construction cost-estimating principles.

Responsibilities

• Review construction plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs using PlanSwift.
• Prepare estimates for commercial concrete scopes (slabs, foundations, piers, grade beams, reinforced steel, formwork, paving, curbs and gutters, retaining walls).
• Build and maintain estimate spreadsheets in Excel, accounting for material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Obtain and review pricing from suppliers and subcontractors as needed.
• Prepare organized bid proposals, quantity summaries, scope sheets, inclusions, exclusions, and supporting documentation.
• Identify missing information, scope gaps, plan discrepancies, and potential cost risks before bids are submitted.
• Verify quantities, calculations, pricing, and estimating assumptions for accuracy.
• Manage multiple assignments and bid deadlines with organized project records.
• Communicate progress, questions, and potential delays proactively.
