Job summary

RemoteVA is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper & Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage daily bookkeeping, e-commerce payment reconciliation, customer accounts, and collections. You will work remotely with a focus on accuracy, timely follow-ups, and clear communication in English.

The role requires strong QuickBooks Online expertise and familiarity with Cin7 (training provided), plus experience with Shopify and Amazon payment reconciliation.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with bookkeeping and accounts receivable.
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online and invoicing processes.
• Familiarity with reconciling payments from e-commerce platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online.
• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions, invoices, and payments.
• Perform bank Reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor Shopify and Amazon billing and payments, verify receipts, reconcile transactions, and post payments.
• Manage Accounts Receivable and payment tracking.
• Review customer accounts and ensure balances are accurate.
• Assist with financial reports and other bookkeeping tasks.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and overdue customer accounts.
• Follow up with customers by phone and email regarding unpaid balances.
• Make professional collection calls and request payment.
• Answer billing questions and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities and customer communications.
• Consistently follow up on outstanding accounts until resolved.
• Escalate long-overdue accounts when necessary.
