Job summary

RemoteVA is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper & Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage daily bookkeeping, e-commerce reconciliation, customer accounts, and collections. Strong QuickBooks Online experience is required. Training will be provided for Cin7.

You will monitor Shopify and Amazon billing, perform reconciliations, follow up on overdue payments, and prepare basic financial reports while working remotely during US Eastern Time business hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping, AR, and collections.
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
• Understanding of invoices, payments, reconciliations, and customer accounts.
• Experience handling customer collections and overdue payments.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online.
• Record and maintain invoices, payments, and transactions.
• Perform bank and financial account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor Shopify and Amazon billing and payments, verify receipts, reconcile transactions, and post payments correctly.
• Manage Accounts Receivable and payment tracking.
• Review customer accounts and ensure balances are accurate.
• Assist with financial reports and other bookkeeping tasks.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and overdue customer accounts.
• Follow up with customers by phone and email regarding unpaid balances.
• Make professional collection calls and request payment.
• Answer billing questions and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities and customer communications.
• Consistently follow up on outstanding accounts until resolved.
• Escalate long-overdue or difficult accounts when necessary.
