Job summary

RemoteVA is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper & Collections Specialist to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping skills, experience with accounts receivable and collections, and excellent attention to detail.

The role is remote with 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST hours, focusing on bookkeeping, AR/collections, and inventory/system support using QuickBooks Online and Cin7 (training provided).

Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping or accounting and attention to detail.
• Experience with accounts receivable and collections.
• Strong knowledge of invoicing, payments, reconciliations and customer accounts.
• Experience using QuickBooks Online.
• Comfortable making professional collection calls and following up with customers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure transactions are recorded correctly.
• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks Online.
• Record and reconcile payments, invoices, and customer accounts.
• Assist with accounts receivable and ensure customer balances are accurate.
• Review financial information and identify discrepancies or outstanding items.
• Assist with monthly reconciliations and general bookkeeping tasks.
• Monitor outstanding customer invoices and overdue accounts.
• Follow up with customers regarding outstanding balances and overdue payments.
• Coordinate information between Cin7 and QuickBooks Online where required.
