Job summary

Somewhere is seeking an Accounts Receivable Lead to oversee AR, billing, and related customer service functions. The role ensures accurate billing, collections, and a consistent customer experience while coordinating with Finance, Sales Operations, and other teams.

Responsibilities include leading the AR/Billing/Customer Service team, managing billing cycles, monitoring aging, and ensuring proper documentation and compliance. Remote, full-time with after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts receivable, billing, collections, or customer service.
• Proven leadership or supervision experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve issues independently.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and billing/account management systems; Zendesk experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Customer Service teams.
• Oversee daily/weekly billing, invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliation.
• Monitor A/R aging and collections and ensure timely follow-up on balances.
• Ensure accurate customer accounts and required documentation (COIs, POs, payments).
• Support month-end close, reporting, and customer statements.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Sales Operations to resolve issues.
