Job summary

Asiatel Outsourcing is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist in the Philippines for a Nasdaq-listed Vancouver-based partner. This hands-on role supports day-to-day AP functions and requires NetSuite expertise in a remote, control-driven environment with timely financial reporting.

You will process invoices, maintain records, and assist with month-end close while coordinating with the Vancouver finance team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of accounts payable or related accounting experience.
• Hands-on NetSuite experience is required.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and basic accounting principles.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and consistently meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working independently with limited supervision.
• Experience working remotely with a North American or international finance team.
• Able to work Vancouver/Pacific Time daily overlap with Vancouver business hours.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices accurately and timely in NetSuite.
• Review invoices for appropriate supporting documentation, coding and approvals.
• Ensure invoices are recorded to the appropriate legal entity, GL account, department and other applicable dimensions.
• Maintain vendor records and supporting documentation.
• Prepare accounts payable payment schedules and assist with payment processing.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and follow up on outstanding invoices or payment matters.
• Monitor the AP inbox and ensure requests are addressed promptly.
• Assist with employee expense and corporate credit card processing, where applicable.
• Assist with AP-related reconciliations and month-end closing procedures.
