Job summary

Remotee is hiring a Finance Officer / Accounts Payable Support for work with an Australian business. The role focuses on AP processing, reconciliations, supplier management and daily finance administration, reporting to the Finance Manager.

The successful candidate will maintain accurate records, ensure timely invoices and payments, handle supplier queries, and support process improvements across the finance function from a work-from-home setup in Manila.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Accounts Payable or related finance role.
• Experience supporting an Australian finance function.
• Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in financial data processing.
• Experience performing account, bank, and supplier reconciliations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Experience with MYOB Acumatica, Astute Payroll, Xero or similar ERP systems.
• Experience in recruitment or other high-volume transactional environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices accurately and timely.
• Monitor AP inboxes and address queries promptly.
• Respond to supplier enquiries and investigate discrepancies.
• Perform supplier statement reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
• Prepare payment runs for approval per procedures.
• Assist with customer and general finance enquiries.
• Complete bank reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
• Perform corporate credit card reconciliations with supporting docs.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Assist with month-end processes and reporting as required.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and efficiencies.
• Support broader finance team with additional duties as role evolves.
