Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an Accounting Support Specialist to support a U.S.-based client in a remote role. You will help maintain financial records, support month-end close, and assist with audits.

This role requires independent thinking, strong Excel skills, and experience with reconciliation, AR, and accounting software. Night shifts are required with differential, and you will collaborate across time zones to deliver accurate results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 4+ years hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Proven experience in account reconciliation, AR management, and month-end close.
• Advanced Excel skills: pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, conditional logic.
• Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite or similar.
• Strong analytical reasoning with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Willingness to work night shifts (9:00 PM – 6:00 AM PHT) with differential.
• Reliable internet and quiet home workspace.

Responsibilities

• Perform account reconciliations across multiple accounts.
• Manage accounts receivable, aging, misapplied payments, or billing discrepancies.
• Use DemandBridge CRM (or similar) to analyze financial data and translate findings for US-based stakeholders.
• Assist with month-end close including journal entries and variance explanations.
• Support audit readiness by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Identify and suggest improvements to accounting workflows.
• Collaborate with US-based colleagues across time zones to ensure smooth handoffs.
