Job summary

MyOutDesk is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Professional to join as a Virtual Professional supporting U.S.-based clients. You will maintain accurate financial records, support day-to-day accounting operations, and contribute to the financial health of the business in a remote setting.

Responsibilities include bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, payroll support, financial reporting, and audit preparation while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
• Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Sage or similar.
• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets for financial analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization.
• Strong English communication (written and verbal).
• Able to work independently in a remote environment.
• Experience supporting U.S.-based clients or remote work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping with accuracy.
• Process accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, billing, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and supporting docs.
• Assist with month-end/year-end closing and timely reporting.
• Support payroll, expense tracking, and budget monitoring as needed.
• Maintain data in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and improvements.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to resolve inquiries.
• Assist with audit prep and tax documentation.
