Job summary

Sourcedpeople is seeking a highly organised BSO to support day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks for an Australian construction company. You will work with the financial controller to ensure accurate financial data, while identifying opportunities for efficiency and process improvements.

The role involves processing AP/AR, bank reconciliations, payroll, and maintaining project documentation. Remote, full-time position with mandatory benefits and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in accounting administration within Australian construction or professional services.
• Proficient use of Xero and Dext (or similar accounting systems).
• Experience with Docketbook or similar time/job management system preferred.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• High attention to detail with precise data entry.

Responsibilities

• Provide ad hoc and routine accounting and administrative support to the financial controller and team.
• Process accounts payable and receivable; maintain supporting files and tracking.
• Perform bank reconciliations and assist with monthly reporting (balance sheet, loan, FAR).
• Handle fortnightly payroll processing and monitor Docketbook for accurate dockets.
• Maintain project-related records and ensure compliant documentation (WHS, SWMS, registrations).
