The Regulatory Compliance Officer provides essential administrative and operational support to the Regulatory Compliance Manager, ensuring that Carabao Commercial Corporation meets all its day-to-day statutory and regulatory obligations. This execution-focused role involves processing documentation, maintaining compliance databases, and acting as a frontline liaison with various government agencies. The Officer plays a vital role in ensuring that all permits, licenses, and statutory reports are accurate, organized, and filed ahead of regulatory deadlines.
Specifically, he/she shall be responsible for the following:
Corporate Governance & Statutory Compliance Support
- Process and facilitate the renewal of business permits, LGU registrations, and operational licenses, ensuring zero lapses in validity.
- Assist in the preparation and physical/digital filing of statutory reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), including the General Information Sheet (GIS).
- Support tax compliance efforts by organizing documentation for the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), assisting with ORUS portal updates, and executing routing tasks at the local RDO.
- Prepare and organize documentary requirements for corporate banking compliance, including drafting standard board resolutions and signature cards for review.
Regulatory Tracking and Documentation
- Maintain and update the company’s internal compliance trackers, spreadsheets, and databases to ensure all deadlines and document renewals are visible and actioned.
- Assist in document control and record-keeping for internal policies, including the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and Integrated Management Systems (IMS).
- Support data privacy initiatives by maintaining logs, organizing consent forms, and assisting the compliance team with Data Privacy Act (RA 10173) administrative requirements.
- Monitor announcements from key government agencies (SEC, BIR, DOLE, NPC) and flag relevant updates to the Regulatory Compliance Manager.
Labor & Environmental Compliance Assistance
- Coordinate with Human Resources to compile and organize necessary documentation for Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) reporting and inspections.
- Track the submission schedules for environmental, safety and social compliance and compile data needed for these reports.
Operations Coordination
- Serve as the on-the-ground liaison or representative for the company when dealing with government offices, handling the submission and retrieval of official documents.
- Assist in drafting basic correspondence, administrative emails, and formal letters to regulatory bodies and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Legal Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in compliance, legal administration, corporate secretarial work, or government liaison roles in the Philippines.
- Prior experience processing documents directly with LGUs, SEC, BIR, BOC, FDA, DOLE, DENR and NPC.
- Experience navigating corporate registration transitions and managing government portals (e.g., ORUS, SEC e-FAST).
- Working knowledge of standard Philippine government processing requirements and administrative procedures.
- High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills for managing physical and digital records.
- Proficiency in using spreadsheet tools (e.g., MS Excel, Google Sheets) for tracking deadlines and organizing compliance data.
- Proactive and resourceful problem-solver with the ability to navigate bureaucratic processes patiently and efficiently.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for drafting routine administrative letters and coordinating with various departments.
