Job summary

Polystar General Services Inc. is seeking a Registered Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team on a full-time basis at Mall of Asia, Pasay City, Metro Manila.

The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining mechanical systems to support operations and ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency. The candidate will oversee installation, testing, and commissioning, conduct analyses, prepare drawings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (Registered Mechanical Engineer) is required or must be obtained.
• 0–1 year of related mechanical engineering design or maintenance experience is acceptable.
• Proficiency in CAD software and mechanical design tools.
• Knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science.
• Experience with equipment installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of Philippine mechanical codes and standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.

About the role

Polystar General Services Inc. is seeking a Registered Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team on a full-time basis. This position is based at our facility in Mall of Asia, Pasay City, Metro Manila. As a Registered Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment that support our operations. This is a strategic position within our organization where you will contribute your technical expertise to ensure the efficiency, safety, and reliability of our mechanical infrastructure and systems.

What you'll be doing

• Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and equipment in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements


• Conduct feasibility studies and perform technical analysis to support project planning and decision-making


• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using CAD software and other design tools


• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment


• Perform routine maintenance assessments and develop preventive maintenance schedules for mechanical systems


• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement corrective measures to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, procurement, and project management to deliver projects on schedule and within budget


• Ensure compliance with relevant mechanical engineering codes, standards, and health and safety regulations


• Provide technical support and guidance to operational staff on the proper use and maintenance of mechanical equipment


• Document and maintain comprehensive records of equipment specifications, maintenance activities, and engineering modifications

What we’re looking for

• A valid professional licensed as a Registered Mechanical Engineer


• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution


• Minimum of 0-1 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering design, systems analysis, or related technical roles


• Strong proficiency in CAD software and other mechanical design and simulation tools


• Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science


• Experience with equipment installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting


• Excellent understanding of relevant mechanical engineering codes and standards applicable to the Philippines


• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail


• Excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare clear technical documentation and reports


• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with project management software is preferred


• Experience in facilities management, HVAC systems, or industrial maintenance would be advantageous
