Job Description
- Plan, supervise, and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for production equipment.
- Monitor the performance and reliability of manufacturing machines and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical equipment failures and recommend effective corrective actions.
- Design, develop, and improve mechanical systems, machine components, and production processes.
- Evaluate equipment efficiency and recommend modifications to improve productivity and reduce downtime.
- Prepare engineering drawings, technical specifications, and maintenance procedures.
- Conduct root cause analysis for equipment breakdowns and implement permanent corrective measures.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality Assurance, and other departments regarding equipment-related concerns.
- Supervise contractors during equipment installation, repairs, and facility improvement projects.
- Ensure all mechanical installations comply with applicable engineering standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Monitor utility systems such as compressed air, chilled water, HVAC, boilers, pumps, and other plant mechanical facilities.
- Prepare maintenance schedules, work orders, equipment history records, and engineering reports.
- Manage spare parts inventory and recommend procurement of mechanical materials and equipment.
- Participate in equipment commissioning, validation, and acceptance testing.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) requirements.
- Support ISO management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001) by complying with documented procedures and participating in internal and external audits.
- Train and mentor maintenance personnel on proper equipment operation and maintenance practices.
- Perform other engineering-related duties assigned by management.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Must be a Registered Mechanical Engineer (RME) with a valid Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) license.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance systems.
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment, utilities, and mechanical systems.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Willing to work under pressure and respond to equipment emergencies.
