Job summary

HYOLIM INC is seeking a skilled Project Mechanical Engineer on a contract basis to lead mechanical projects from conception to completion. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3–5 years’ professional experience in mechanical engineering project delivery.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and ability to read engineering drawings.
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and teamwork skills.

About the role

HYOLIM INC is seeking a skilled and dedicated Project Mechanical Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. This is a pivotal position within our engineering department, responsible for overseeing mechanical projects from conception through to completion. Based in Batino, Calamba City, Laguna, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all mechanical systems and components meet our high standards of quality, safety and performance. This contract position offers the opportunity to work on diverse mechanical engineering challenges whilst contributing directly to the success of our projects and the growth of our organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and oversee the implementation of mechanical systems and components in accordance with project specifications and engineering standards
• Conduct detailed engineering analysis and feasibility studies to ensure project viability and cost-effectiveness
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, specifications and reports for project stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, production and quality assurance to ensure seamless project execution
• Monitor project progress, timelines and budgets, providing regular updates to project managers and senior leadership
• Perform quality assurance and testing procedures to verify mechanical systems meet required performance criteria
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues during the design and implementation phases
• Ensure compliance with relevant mechanical engineering codes, standards and regulatory requirements
• Liaise with suppliers and external contractors to procure components and services as required
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and production teams

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering project delivery
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar applications
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials science and manufacturing processes
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, blueprints and engineering drawings
• Knowledge of relevant mechanical engineering standards and industry best practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in team environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with project management software
• Preferably, experience in manufacturing, automotive, industrial or heavy equipment sectors
• Willingness to undertake continuous professional development and stay updated with industry advancements
