Job summary

Qualifications

• PRC registration as Mechanical Engineer is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 0-1 years of mechanical design/engineering experience.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) highly preferred.
• Knowledge of codes and standards in mechanical engineering in the Philippines.

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila on a full-time basis. This is a key position within our engineering division, where you will play an integral role in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical engineering projects. As a Registered Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and the successful delivery of projects that meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects whilst contributing to the strategic objectives of Polystar General Services Inc.

Key responsibilities

• Design, analyze and develop mechanical systems, components and equipment in accordance with project specifications and regulatory requirements
• Conduct feasibility studies and prepare detailed technical proposals for mechanical engineering projects
• Perform calculations, simulations and testing to validate design integrity and performance
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications and documentation using computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Oversee the manufacturing, installation and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to identify mechanical engineering requirements and constraints
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, technicians and clients to ensure project objectives are met
• Ensure compliance with relevant mechanical engineering codes, standards and safety regulations
• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective solutions
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and technical staff
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records for audit and compliance purposes

What we're looking for

• Current Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) registration as a Mechanical Engineer in the Philippines
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum of 0-1 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering design, analysis or project execution
• Strong proficiency in CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent)
• Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and materials science
• Knowledge of relevant Philippine and international mechanical engineering codes and standards
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Project management experience and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Valid driver's license (preferred)
• Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) or computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software would be advantageous
• Background in HVAC systems, pressure vessels, pumping systems or industrial machinery would be beneficial
