Job summary

Remitly is hiring a Philippines and Vietnam Business Development Manager to pursue strategic payments partnerships and oversee onboarding with banks, processors, and wallets. You will collaborate with product, legal, marketing, and operations to deliver commercial and operational performance for the region.

The role requires 10+ years in partnerships/payments, strong negotiation and cross-functional influence, and willingness to travel to drive growth across markets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in strategic partnerships or business development with payments focus.
• Strong understanding of consumer payments and cross-border transfers.
• Proven ability to influence across product, legal and compliance teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive regional strategy with BD lead and key partners.
• Own initiatives with strategic partners—banks, processors, wallet providers.
• Negotiate renewals, economics, and expand product footprint.
• Oversee contract negotiations and ensure successful go-lives with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor market trends and adapt strategies to evolving regulations.
