Responsibilities

• Source candidates through SEEK, LinkedIn, internal databases, referrals and job boards.
• Build and maintain active talent pools for construction trades and labour roles.
• Conduct initial pre-screening and phone interviews to assess suitability.
• Develop relationships with candidates and maintain regular communication.
• Identify candidates for urgent labour hire and project workforce needs.
• Follow up on licences, tickets, qualifications, and compliance docs.
• Complete reference checks and document candidate outcomes.
• Maintain candidate information in CRM/ATS and recruitment databases.
• Coordinate interviews, submissions, onboarding, inductions and mobilisation.
• Provide timely updates on candidate progress to recruiters and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Source candidates through SEEK, LinkedIn, internal databases, referrals, job boards, and other appropriate channels.
• Build and maintain active talent pools for construction labourers, skilled tradespeople, traffic controllers, and construction professionals.
• Conduct initial candidate pre-screening and phone interviews to assess skills, experience, availability, location, work rights, and suitability.
• Develop strong relationships with candidates and maintain regular communication throughout the recruitment process.
• Identify candidates for urgent labour hire requirements, project-based workforce needs, and ongoing recruitment campaigns.
• Follow up on licences, tickets, qualifications, White Cards, trade certificates, medicals, references, and other compliance requirements where applicable.
• Complete reference checks and accurately document candidate outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and current candidate information in the CRM / ATS and recruitment databases.
• Coordinate interviews, candidate submissions, onboarding activities, inductions, and mobilisation requirements.
• Provide timely updates to recruiters, managers, clients, and candidates regarding candidate progress.
• Support recruitment reporting, administration, data entry, and other operational tasks.
• Work collaboratively with the recruitment and operations teams to meet service levels, deadlines, and workforce requirements.

Skills, Experience and Personal Attributes

• Previous experience as a Recruitment Resourcer, Recruitment Consultant, Talent Acquisition Specialist, or in a similar recruitment support role.
• Experience in construction, trades, labour hire, civil, infrastructure, industrial, mining, or blue-collar recruitment is highly desirable.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Confident conducting phone screens and discussing job opportunities with candidates.
• A friendly, energetic, approachable, and personable communication style.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with candidates and stakeholders.
• Comfortable working with high-volume recruitment and urgent staffing requirements.
• Highly organised, proactive, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong attention to detail when recording candidate information and checking compliance documents.
• Experience using ATS / CRM systems, SEEK, LinkedIn, spreadsheets, and candidate databases.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
• A strong understanding of confidentiality, candidate care, workplace safety, and professional recruitment standards.
