Staffstream is hiring an Associate Consultant to grow the Civil Construction desk in South-East Queensland. You will source, phone-screen, register, and match blue-collar civil construction candidates to live vacancies, then booking them in for video interviews with the Director.

This Philippines-based role is fully remote, following SE Queensland business hours, and involves real activity targets in a fast-paced next-day-fill recruitment environment.

Qualifications

This is a genuine recruitment role, not general admin: you'd be sourcing, phone-screening, registering, and matching blue-collar civil construction candidates (plant operators, pipelayers, concreters, civil labourers, and similar trades) to live vacancies, then booking them in for video interviews with the Director.

Staffstream is hiring an Associate Consultant for an established Australian recruitment consultancy's growing Civil Construction desk in South-East Queensland. This is a genuine recruitment role, not general admin: you'd be sourcing, phone-screening, registering, and matching blue-collar civil construction candidates (plant operators, pipelayers, concreters, civil labourers, and similar trades) to live vacancies, then booking them in for video interviews with the Director. This role runs to a clear daily structure and real activity targets. Connected calls, registration packs sent, and completed registrations are tracked every single day, so it suits someone genuinely comfortable in a fast-paced, next-day-fill recruitment environment, not someone looking for a slower, more administrative pace. This role is open to candidates based in the Philippines.

What you will actually do

Candidate sourcing and recruitment

• Source candidates through JobAdder, SEEK, LinkedIn, and other job boards and candidate databases, as well as job advertisements.
• Complete outbound candidate calls and screen candidates against live vacancies.
• Clearly explain job requirements, location, pay rates, hours, and employment conditions to candidates.
• Send and follow up candidate registration packs, and progress candidates through to completed registration.
• Match suitable candidates to live jobs, adding strong candidates to live job shortlists or the Hot Candidates shortlist.
• Manage and book candidate video interviews with the Director.
• Progress suitable candidates toward confirmed site starts.
• Complete first-day and ongoing candidate care calls, and maintain active candidate pools for priority roles.

Database and CRM management

• Make sure every candidate conversation results in a corresponding action in the CRM: adding them to the correct folder, a live job shortlist, the Hot Candidates shortlist, or a dated follow-up task.
• Add every candidate who starts on site as a placement on their first day, including client, job, site, start date, pay rate, charge rate, and other relevant details.

Registration and compliance

• Manage completed candidate registrations, including registration forms, current resumes, photo ID, passport or working rights evidence, visa checks where applicable, White Cards, relevant licences and tickets, VOCs or qualifications, references, and role-specific documents.
• Process full onboarding documentation once a candidate is booked to start, making sure all mandatory checks are completed before commencement.

Recruitment administration

• Post and refresh approved job advertisements and format candidate CVs.
• Follow up incomplete registrations and coordinate candidate interviews with the Director.
• Assist with candidate and client system issues, primarily earlier in the week.
• Complete candidate care and placement follow-ups, and keep candidate availability, folders, shortlists, and tasks current.

What you need to bring

• Proven experience in recruitment, resourcing, or talent sourcing, ideally within high-volume or temporary and contract recruitment.
• Confident candidate sourcing and telephone screening skills, genuinely comfortable making a high volume of outbound candidate calls every day.
• Experience using any recruitment CRM or applicant tracking system. JobAdder experience is a bonus, but not required.
• Confidence with Boolean search techniques and sourcing candidates through job boards and databases.
• Strong written and spoken English, comfortable speaking directly and confidently with Australian candidates.
• Excellent organisation and follow-up discipline, able to keep a candidate database clean, current, and fully actioned after every conversation.
• Genuine comfort working to clear daily activity and outcome targets, such as a minimum number of connected calls, in a fast-paced, next-day-fill recruitment environment.

Nice to have

• Civil construction, blue-collar, trades, or labour-hire recruitment experience specifically. This is genuinely strongly preferred for this desk.
• This experience can come from Australian, UK, or US recruitment markets. What matters most is the civil construction or blue-collar recruitment background, not which country it was gained in.
• Familiarity with licences, tickets, and compliance checks relevant to construction roles, such as White Cards, VOCs, or plant tickets.
• Experience with platforms such as SEEK Talent Search, LinkedIn Recruiter, LUSHR, PeopleAdder, or Astute.
• Some knowledge of South-East Queensland locations and regions.

• Fully remote, working standard business hours aligned with South-East Queensland (Brisbane time), following the daily structure outlined above.
