Job summary

Paired Recruiting is seeking an experienced Controller to lead full-cycle accounting across a multi-entity real estate portfolio, including manufactured housing and land-lease properties. You will manage financial activity for ~30 LLCs and ensure accurate reporting.

The role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication with owners, auditors, lenders, and vendors, and proficiency in Excel and Rent Manager.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience across multi-entity real estate portfolios.
• Highly organized with the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills to partner effectively with community managers, ownership, auditors, lenders, and vendors.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with Rent Manager (property-management platform).
• Experience with tax documentation, 1099 preparation, fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and CapEx accounting.
• Solid background in audit preparation, regulatory compliance, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle accounting across multi-entity real estate portfolios, including manufactured housing and land-lease properties
• Manage financial activity for approximately 30 separate LLCs and reconcile 30 individual bank accounts
• Handle AP/AR, general ledger accounting, recurring and adjusting journal entries, and month-end/year-end close
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash-flow management
• Oversee payroll, tax documentation, audit preparation, and financial reporting
• Maintain accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting across all entities
