Job summary

Remote Talent is seeking a senior Financial Controller to deliver entity-level and consolidated reporting, cashflow visibility, and strong internal controls. The role starts part-time (20 hours/week) and moves to full-time within three months based on performance.

Reporting to the Director, you will oversee a Bookkeeper and liaise with external tax advisors to ensure clean and timely financials across multiple entities.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with degree essential; CPA/CA or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Proven financial control or senior accounting experience across multiple entities.
• Strong management reporting and consolidation skills with clear commentary.
• Advanced Excel including cashflow modelling.
• Comfortable in a fast-moving, acquisition-driven environment.
• Experience managing offshore or remote finance staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management reports — P&L and balance sheet per entity, plus consolidated view.
• Provide commentary on movements, variances and trends for decision-making.
• Build and maintain cashflow forecasts across the group.
• Own month-end close — journals, accruals, reconciliation sign-off and deadlines.
• Present numbers and recommendations directly to the director.
• Lead financial integration of acquired businesses — opening balances and clean-up.
• Support due diligence with financial analysis as directed.
