Job Purpose

Responsible in controlling and monitoring batch reaction process during transesterification of coconut oil with methanol—to ensure consistent, high-quality CME production.

General Duties & Key Responsibilities

• Charge raw materials (e.g., coconut oil, methanol, catalyst) into the reactor.
• Start, monitor, and control batch reactions (temperature, pressure, mixing, time).
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for each batch.
• Ensure product meets CME/biodiesel specifications in coordination with laboratory.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and report mechanical issues.
• Record batch data (materials, conditions, yields, issues).
• Follow plant safety rules and chemical handling procedures.

Job Requirements

• High School/Senior High School Graduate or Vocational Graduate.
• Ability to perform manual tasks such as material charging and loading/unloading of raw materials.
• Capable of following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions accurately.
• Basic understanding of process or production documentation.
• Willing to work in shifting schedules and in a plant/industrial environment.
