Job summary

RI Chemical Corporation is seeking a skilled and dedicated Process Operator/Technician to join our manufacturing operations team in Jasaan, Misamis Oriental. This full-time role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our chemical processes.

You will monitor and control processing equipment, perform routine inspections, log production data, and assist in safety training and continuous improvement efforts on shift.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Chemical Technology or Electro-Mechanical Technology, or completed at least 30 chemistry units.
• Trained in procedural operations of steam-heated and/or oil-heated reactors and related equipment.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Familiar with computers and able to use worksheets and project management programs.
• Excellent health with no chemical allergies.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor chemical processing equipment per SOPs and safety protocols.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Record and monitor process parameters such as temperature and pressure.
• Respond to alarms, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain logs of production activities, material usage, equipment performance.
• Keep work areas clean and compliant with safety and environmental regs.
• Coordinate handovers between shifts and participate in safety training.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency and safety improvements.

About the role

RI Chemical Corporation is seeking a skilled and dedicated Process Operator/Technician to join our manufacturing operations team in Jasaan, Misamis Oriental. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our chemical manufacturing processes. As a Process Operator/Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling sophisticated machinery and equipment, maintaining production schedules, and upholding the highest standards of safety and quality. This position is integral to our operational success and directly impacts our ability to deliver high-quality products to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor chemical processing equipment and machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety protocols

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues before they escalate

• Record and monitor process parameters, including temperature, pressure, flow rates, and other critical measurements, ensuring they remain within specified ranges

• Respond promptly to equipment alarms and anomalies, troubleshooting issues and implementing corrective actions as needed

• Maintain accurate and detailed logs of production activities, material usage, equipment performance, and any incidents or deviations

• Clean and maintain work areas, equipment, and facilities in accordance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth shift operations and seamless handovers between shifts

• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and participate in regular safety training and drills

• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for enhanced efficiency and safety

What we're looking for

• Graduate of Chemical Technology/ Electro-Mechanical Technology courses or have completed at least 30 units of undergraduate chemistry courses.

• Well trained in procedural operations of steam-heated and/ or oil-heated reactors, its accessories and support equipment.

• Ability to work independently and can work under pressure.

• Familiar with computers and can use worksheet and project management programs.

• Must be excellent in health and no allergies to chemicals.
