Job summary

Briobuild Co. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor Engineer to prepare, review, and validate quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and project budgets for high-end construction and fit-out projects in Metro Manila.

Responsibilities include BOQ preparation, tender review, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. The role requires strong attention to detail and proficiency in AutoCAD, PlanSwift, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Civil Engineering is preferred.
• Professional license is required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in quantity surveying and site management.
• Experience in material estimates, BOMs, and project budgets for high-end or fit-out projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and PlanSwift.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed material take-offs and quantity estimates from drawings.
• Prepare the BOQ based on tender drawings and specifications.
• Review draft tender documents to ensure all systems and components are included.
• Coordinate with the project team through all construction phases.
• Maintain up-to-date records of current market prices for trades.
• Communicate with consultants and authorities to clarify discrepancies.
• Prepare tender pre-qualification items including subcontractors and cash flow chart.
• Coordinate with planning, procurement, finance, and admin teams for submissions.
• Provide support with contract documentation and other QS tasks.

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor (QS) Engineer shall be responsible for the preparation, review, and validation of detailed quantity take-offs, material and cost estimates, project budgets, and variation orders for prospective and ongoing projects. He/She shall ensure that all quantities, unit rates, cost assumptions, inclusions, exclusions, and supporting computations are complete, accurate, properly documented, and aligned with approved plans, specifications, and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed material take-offs and quantity estimates from Structural, Architectural, and MEPFS drawings.
• Prepare the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on tender drawings and specifications, covering all aspects of the project.
• Review draft tender documents to ensure all project systems and components are included.
• Coordinate with the project team throughout all construction phases, from start to completion.
• Maintain an up-to-date record of current market prices for various construction trades.
• Communicate with consultants and authorities to clarify any discrepancies in specifications or BOQ.
• Prepare tender pre-qualification items, including a list of subcontractors, suppliers, and a cash flow chart.
• Coordinate with the planning, procurement, finance, and administration teams to gather necessary documents for submission.
• Provide support with contract documentation and other related tasks as required by the QS Manager.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.
• Professional License (Passed Board/Professional License Exam) is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role with focus on quantity surveying and site management.
• Experience in preparing material estimates, bills of materials, and project budgets in various facets (Structural, Architectural, MEPFS) for high-end construction and/or fit-out projects (residential or high-rise) is a strong advantage.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and PlanSwift.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent presentation, and negotiation skills.
