Responsibilities

About the role

Paramount Properties is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor (QS) who is responsible for managing project quantities, costs, materials, billings, and construction documentation. The role supports the Project Manager and Site Team in ensuring accurate cost control, project monitoring, procurement, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs, material schedules, and detailed cost estimates based on approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor project budgets, actual costs, committed costs, and cost variances.
• Prepare and review progress billings, payment certificates, and supporting documents.
• Verify site accomplishments and billed quantities with the Site Engineers and project team.
• Prepare and monitor variation orders/change orders, including quantity and cost calculations.
• Prepare material requirements and assist in supplier quotation comparison, procurement, and material cost monitoring.
• Conduct site inspections to verify actual quantities, accomplishments, and site conditions.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, dimensions, and revisions to ensure accurate quantity and cost calculations.
• Maintain organized records of BOQs, estimates, billings, variations, purchase requests, drawings, reports, and other project documents.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Engineers, contractors, suppliers, procurement, accounting, and other project stakeholders.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• At least 5 years relevant experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, construction documentation, or office engineering.
• Knowledge of quantity take-off, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, progress billing, and variation orders.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.
• Proficient in MS Excel and construction-related software/tools like Autocad and Plan Swift.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical skills, documentation skills, and coordination abilities.
• Willing to conduct site visits and coordinate closely with project teams and contractors.
