Job summary

PAMOCOR Group of Companies is seeking a Quantity Surveyor Engineer to manage quantity takeoffs, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, budget planning and commercial evaluation to keep projects within design and budget targets.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Design, Planning, Commercial, and Operations teams; review scopes and budgets; and prepare POEs and final BOQs for handover. This role demands strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management.
• Licensed Civil Engineer is preferred.
• 2–5+ years of quantity surveying experience.

Responsibilities

• Review project scope, budgets, and procurement options.
• Prepare and validate quantity takeoffs, BOQs, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Design, Planning, Commercial, and Operations teams to optimize quantities and costs.
• Present BOQs, budgets, and cost estimates for management review and approval.
• Update quantities and BOQs based on design or client revisions.
• Prepare and finalize the Project Order Estimate (POE).
• Compile and hand over finalized BOQs and cost documents to the Operations/Planning Team.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor Engineer is responsible for quantity takeoffs, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, budget planning, and commercial evaluation to ensure projects meet design requirements and budget targets.

Key responsibilities

• Review project scope, material requirements, procurement options, and initial budgets
• Prepare and validate quantity takeoffs, BOQs, and cost estimates using project drawings
• Coordinate with Engineering, Design, Planning, Commercial, and Operations teams to optimize quantities and costs
• Present BOQs, budgets, and cost estimates for management review and approval
• Update quantities and BOQs based on design or client revisions
• Prepare and finalize the Project Order Estimate (POE)
• Compile and hand over finalized BOQs and cost documents to the Operations/Planning Team
• Perform other related duties as assigned

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
• Licensed Civil Engineer is preferred
• 2–5+ years of experience in quantity surveying, quantity takeoff, BOQ preparation, and cost control
• Proficient in reading civil, structural, and architectural drawings
• Skilled in BOQ and POE preparation
• Knowledgeable in Gantt Charts, S-Curves, PDM, and Method Statements
• Proficient in MS Excel, CAD, quantity takeoff software, and ERP systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
