Job summary

MAGNU INC. is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team, focusing on residential projects, office spaces, fit-outs, renovations, and other works.

You will handle quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and BOQ, review drawings, and prepare bids. You will coordinate with project managers, site teams, suppliers, and subcontractors; monitor costs, budgets, variations; ensure accurate cost reporting and documentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Quantity Surveying/Estimating experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction costing and take-offs.
• Able to read architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.
• Experience in preparing complete construction bids and estimates.
• Proficient in Excel and QS software.
• Good understanding of construction materials and processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and BOQ.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team. Our company handles a range of construction projects, with a focus on residential projects, as well as office spaces, fit-outs, renovations, and other construction works. We're looking for someone who is confident in quantity take-offs, estimating, bidding, and construction costing, and can work with different types of projects and scopes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ)


• Quantify and price works based on architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings


• Review construction drawings, specifications, and scope of works


• Prepare project bids and tender submissions


• Request, compare, and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations


• Assist with procurement and cost negotiations


• Monitor project costs, budgets, and variations


• Prepare cost reports and maintain accurate project documentation


• Coordinate with project managers, site teams, suppliers, and subcontractors


• Identify potential cost issues and help keep projects within budget

About you

• At least 2 years of relevant Quantity Surveying / Estimating experience


• Strong knowledge of construction costing, estimating, and quantity take-offs


• Able to read and understand architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings


• Experience preparing complete construction bids and estimates


• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant estimating/QS software


• Good understanding of construction materials and processes


• Experience in residential construction is an advantage


• Experience with office spaces, fit-outs, renovations, or other construction projects is a plus


• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently


• Good communication and coordination skills
