About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage construction cost estimation, quantity take-offs, budgeting, and cost monitoring for residential and commercial construction projects. The position will be responsible for ensuring accurate project costing, effective cost control, and proper evaluation of construction expenses from pre-construction through project completion.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, Bill of Materials (BOM), and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on architectural, structural, and MEPF drawings.
• Develop comprehensive project cost estimates covering construction materials, manpower, equipment, and subcontractor works.
• Prepare project budgets, cost breakdowns, and detailed estimates for bidding and tender submissions.
• Review construction plans, specifications, and project requirements to ensure accurate quantity calculations and cost estimates.
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, prepare comparative cost analyses, and recommend cost-effective alternatives.
• Monitor actual construction expenses against approved project budgets and identify potential cost overruns.
• Prepare and evaluate progress billings, accomplishment reports, and subcontractor payment claims.
• Assess variation orders, additional works, and changes in project scope, including their corresponding cost implications.
• Coordinate with project engineers, architects, procurement personnel, and site supervisors to validate material and manpower requirements.
• Conduct periodic site visits to verify actual work accomplishments, quantities, and construction progress.
• Prepare cost reports, budget updates, and financial assessments for management review.
• Assist in final project cost reconciliation and documentation upon project completion.
