Job summary

Suzuki Philippines Inc. in Laguna requires a Mechanical Engineer to oversee incoming parts quality inspection and supplier action item validation. You will collect QC data to drive product improvements and lead the maintenance and calibration of CMM and metrology tools.

Additionally, you will conduct quarterly inventories and perform defect analysis to implement immediate and long-range countermeasures for quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Experience in Quality Control or Inspection in a manufacturing setting.
• Background in supplier management within ISO certified companies.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Familiar with SPC and QC tools such as control charts and histograms.
• Proficient with basic Microsoft Office applications.

About the role:

Responsible for incoming local motorcycle parts inspection to ensure adherence to established quality standards. Validates supplier action items on quality issues raised during inspection of incoming parts and actual production. Gather and evaluate related quality control data as a tool for product improvement. In-charge of maintenance and calibration of Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and other metrology equipment. Conducts quarterly inventory of tools and equipment. Conducts defect analysis and initiates immediate and long range countermeasures.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Relevant work experience in Quality Control or Inspection in a manufacturing set-up
• Background in supplier management in an ISO certified company
• Working knowledge of inspection and measuring instruments and equipment such as caliper, gauge, Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and other precision equipment
• Exposure in reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Background in statistical process control (SPC) and or QC Tools such as control charts, fish bone diagram and histogram
• Familiar with basic Microsoft office applications
