This full-time role blends quantity surveying with electrical engineering to deliver accurate cost estimates, budgeting, and project support for electrical works and systems. You will analyse documents, perform takeoffs, monitor costs, prepare variation orders, and collaborate with PMs and procurement to ensure cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Experience as QS or cost estimator in electrical or MEP projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components and standards.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects.

This is a full-time position that combines quantity surveying expertise with electrical engineering knowledge to provide comprehensive cost estimation and project management support. What you'll be doing

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects, including labour, materials, equipment and overhead costs
• Analyse tender documents, specifications, drawings and site conditions to develop accurate project budgets
• Conduct quantity takeoffs for electrical systems, installations and components
• Manage cost control throughout project execution, monitoring expenditures against budgeted figures
• Prepare variation orders and change order assessments for electrical works
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and procurement teams to ensure cost efficiency
• Maintain comprehensive cost data and records for future reference and benchmarking
• Review supplier quotations and negotiate pricing for electrical materials and services
• Prepare cost reports and financial analyses for project stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with estimating standards and company procedures

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Estimator, preferably in electrical construction or MEP projects
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, installations, components and industry standards
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent knowledge of construction materials, labour rates and project scheduling
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical documents
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Experience in the Philippine construction industry is highly advantageous
• Professional certifications in quantity surveying or electrical engineering would be beneficial
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment
