Private Advertiser in Cebu is seeking a hands-on QA/QC Engineer to ensure construction works meet drawings, specs, standards, and quality requirements. You will participate in site inspections, material verification, testing, and documentation across structural and architectural activities.
You will work with project engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to identify quality concerns early, prevent rework, and drive timely corrective actions, while supporting project progress.
A well-established construction company in Cebu is looking for a competent and detail-oriented QA/QC Engineer to help ensure that construction works consistently meet approved drawings, specifications, applicable standards, and established quality requirements.
The successful candidate will take an active role in site inspections, material verification, testing, documentation, and quality monitoring across structural, architectural, and related construction activities. You will work closely with project engineers, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders to identify quality concerns early, prevent rework, and ensure timely corrective action.
We are looking for a hands-on and solutions-oriented construction professional who understands that quality is not limited to inspection—it requires prevention, proper documentation, coordination, and continuous monitoring throughout project execution.
Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and quality standards.
Inspect and monitor concrete works, reinforcement/rebar installation, formworks, masonry, waterproofing, finishes, and other construction activities.
Conduct and coordinate material inspections, testing, and verification of completed works.
Review and monitor Inspection Requests (IR), Material Inspection Requests (MIR), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, test reports, and quality records.
Identify non-conforming work and facilitate the issuance, monitoring, corrective action, and closure of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
Maintain accurate QA/QC documentation, inspection records, punch lists, and quality reports.
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and project personnel regarding inspections and quality concerns.
Identify potential quality risks and recommend preventive measures to minimize defects, rework, and recurring non-conformances.
Provide timely technical guidance and recommendations to help resolve quality-related site issues.
Support the project team in achieving project quality objectives while maintaining construction progress.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
Preferably a Licensed Civil Engineer.
Relevant experience in QA/QC, site engineering, or building construction.
Working knowledge of structural and architectural construction activities.
Familiarity with IR, MIR, ITP, NCR, method statements, punch listing, testing, and QA/QC documentation.
Able to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify workmanship and quality issues.
Good communication, coordination, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Willing to be assigned to project sites within Cebu.
