Arconic Inc. is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to implement and enforce quality assurance systems across socialized and economic housing projects in the Philippines.
The role ensures compliance with plans, specifications, codes, and regulatory standards, with a focus on preventing defects and delivering safe, compliant housing units. The candidate will lead QA/QC plans, coordinate testing, review contractor quality plans, and maintain quality records for audits and compliance.
The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for implementing and enforcing quality assurance and quality control systems across all phases of socialized and economic housing projects. The role ensures that all construction activities, materials, and outputs comply with approved plans, technical specifications, building codes, and regulatory standards in the Philippines. The QA/QC Engineer plays a critical role in preventing defects, ensuring construction integrity, and delivering safe, durable, and compliant housing units.
Develop, implement, and maintain project QA/QC plans and procedures.
Establish inspection and testing protocols for all construction activities.
Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
Review contractor quality plans prior to project execution.
Conduct regular inspections of structural, architectural, and MEPFS works.
Monitor construction activities including earthworks, concrete works, and finishing works.
Verify workmanship, materials, and installation methods on-site.
Identify defects, deviations, and non-conformities and ensure corrective action is taken.
Coordinate with accredited testing laboratories for material sampling and testing.
Review and validate results of concrete, soil, steel, and other construction materials.
Ensure only approved and compliant materials are used in the project.
Prepare QA/QC reports, inspection checklists, punch lists, and non-conformance reports.
Maintain complete and updated quality records for audit and compliance purposes.
Monitor closure of NCRs and corrective actions.
Submit periodic quality performance reports to management.
Ensure compliance with Philippine building codes and engineering standards.
Support adherence to DHSUD requirements for socialized and economic housing developments.
Assist during government and third-party inspections and audits.
Ensure alignment with permitting and licensing conditions.
Coordinate closely with project engineers, contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
Provide technical guidance to resolve construction quality issues.
Participate in coordination meetings and site walkthroughs.
Recommend preventive and corrective actions for quality improvement.
Analyze recurring defects and recommend system improvements.
Support development of best practices in construction quality control.
Contribute to improving project efficiency, durability, and compliance.
Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
Licensed Civil Engineer or Architect (preferred)
With minimum 5 years QA/QC experience in construction
Strong experience in socialized and economic housing projects required
Exposure to mass housing development and site development works
Philippine Building Code and construction standards
QA/QC systems and inspection methodologies
Material testing procedures and standards
Structural, architectural, and MEPF construction works
DHSUD housing regulations and compliance processes
High attention to detail and quality standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and coordination abilities
Knowledge of construction defects and remediation techniques
Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QA/QC documentation tools
Ability to manage multiple site inspections and deadlines
