Job summary

Polarr Azanje Construction Inc. is seeking a QA/QC Civil Engineer to lead quality control for Subic-based projects. The role involves implementing QA/QC procedures, conducting on-site inspections, reviewing technical submittals, and ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, PRC licensure if required, and 2–3 years of QA/QC or site engineering experience. On-site work in Subic, Zambales is expected as projects dictate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PRC licensure preferred/required depending on project.
• 2–3 years of QA/QC, construction, or site engineering experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and quality management systems is an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office; strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures and project quality requirements.
• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with drawings, specs, ITPs, and method statements.
• Inspect materials, workmanship, and completed works prior to client/consultant inspection.
• Prepare and process RFIs, Inspection Requests, QA/QC reports, checklists, and quality records.
• Monitor material testing, lab results, and required quality tests.
• Identify non-conforming works and assist in NCRs and corrective actions.
• Review submittals, material certifications, test reports, and other QA/QC documents.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, Site Supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients on quality requirements.
• Maintain complete QA/QC documentation and records.
• Assist during audits and resolve quality findings promptly.
• Monitor project quality performance and recommend corrective actions.
• Support project turnover, punch listing, and completion documentation.

Job Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures and project quality requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, and method statements.
• Inspect materials, workmanship, and completed works prior to client/consultant inspection.
• Prepare and process RFIs, Inspection Requests, QA/QC reports, checklists, and quality records.
• Monitor material testing, laboratory results, and required quality tests.
• Identify non-conforming works and assist in preparing and closing NCRs and corrective actions.
• Review technical submittals, material certifications, test reports, and other quality-related documents.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, Site Supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients regarding quality requirements.
• Maintain complete and organized QA/QC documentation and records.
• Assist during internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of quality findings.
• Monitor project quality performance and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Support project turnover, punch listing, and completion documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field.
• Licensed Civil Engineer (PRC) is preferred/required depending on project requirements.
• With 2–3 years relevant experience in QA/QC, construction, or site engineering.
• Knowledgeable in construction materials, inspection, testing procedures, and workmanship standards.
• Familiar with ITP, Method Statement, RFI, NCR, material submittals, and QA/QC reports.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and quality management systems is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong documentation, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining construction quality.
• Willing to work on-site in Subic, Zambales.
