Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a procurement professional with 3–5 years in Purchasing/Procurement, preferably with hotel or F&B exposure. The role focuses on sourcing, supplier evaluation, and timely procurement of hotel-related goods and services.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and strong negotiation, Excel skills, and the ability to coordinate across Operations, F&B, and Finance to meet urgent requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, SCM, Purchasing/Procurement, Hospitality Management, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant Purchasing/Procurement experience; 1–2 years in a supervisory/senior role.
• Hotel/resort/F&B operations experience is an advantage in purchasing food, beverages, and supplies.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, supplier sourcing, canvassing, quotations, negotiation, and PO preparation.
• Experience in supplier accreditation, evaluation, and relationship management.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills; obtain competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Knowledge of F&B products and hotel operating supplies and equipment preferred.
• Able to evaluate product quality, specs, pricing, and supplier reliability.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with ERP/inventory systems.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; manage multiple requests and urgent needs.
• Collaborate with Operations, F&B, Engineering, Finance, Warehouse, and others to ensure timely procurement.
• Demonstrates integrity, confidentiality, and sound judgment with suppliers and purchases.
• Willing to work in a fast-paced environment and handle urgent procurement.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing/Procurement, Hospitality Management, or a related field.


• At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in Purchasing/Procurement, preferably with 1–2 years in a supervisory or senior-level capacity.


• Experience in hotel, resort, hospitality, or F&B operations is an advantage, particularly in purchasing food, beverages, operating supplies, guest amenities, equipment, and other hotel-related requirements.


• Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, supplier sourcing, canvassing, quotation comparison, negotiation, and purchase order preparation.


• Experienced in supplier accreditation, evaluation, and relationship management.


• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to obtain competitive pricing, favorable payment terms, and reliable delivery schedules.


• Knowledge of F&B products, hotel operating supplies, equipment, and general maintenance requirements is highly preferred.


• Able to evaluate product quality, specifications, pricing, and supplier reliability in coordination with requesting departments.


• Strong attention to detail and ability to review Purchase Requests, quotations, canvass forms, and Purchase Orders for accuracy and completeness.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and preferably experienced with ERP, procurement, or inventory management systems.


• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple purchase requests and urgent operational requirements simultaneously.


• Able to work closely with Operations, F&B, Engineering, Finance, Warehouse, and other departments to ensure timely procurement and delivery of requirements.


• Demonstrates integrity, transparency, confidentiality, and sound judgment in dealing with suppliers and company purchases.


• Willing to work in a fast-paced environment and handle urgent procurement requirements when necessary.

Preferred/Advantageous

• Prior experience in hotel/resort pre-opening.


• Experience handling F&B purchasing, including fresh produce, meat, seafood, dry goods, beverages, and other kitchen requirements.


• Existing knowledge or network of local and regional suppliers.


• Experience with supplier accreditation and performance evaluation.


• Familiarity with procurement controls, cost management, and inventory coordination.
