The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the hotel's procurement activities, ensuring that all departments receive the right products and services at the best possible price, quality, and delivery time. The role manages suppliers, purchasing processes, cost control, and procurement staff while ensuring compliance with company policies.
Key responsibilities
Manage and supervise the daily operations of the Purchasing Department.
Develop and implement purchasing policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Review purchase requests and ensure proper approval before procurement.
Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, and delivery performance.
Request and compare quotations from different suppliers.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, contracts, and supplier agreements.
Purchase hotel supplies, food and beverages, equipment, materials, and operational requirements.
Coordinate with F&B, Housekeeping, Engineering, Finance, and other departments regarding purchasing needs.
Monitor market prices and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
Maintain strong relationships with accredited suppliers and conduct supplier evaluations.
About you
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
At least 5 years of purchasing/procurement experience, preferably with supervisory or managerial experience.
Experience in hotel or hospitality purchasing is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of supplier sourcing, negotiation, inventory coordination, and cost control.
Excellent negotiation, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and purchasing/inventory systems.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
