Job summary

Don Tim Development Corporation (DTDC) is a real estate development company seeking a Purchasing Officer to handle end-to-end purchasing of materials, goods, and services for smooth operations across multiple communities.

You will research vendors, negotiate favorable prices, manage POs, maintain inventory, and ensure proper approvals and timely deliveries while coordinating with end users to clarify requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in business, logistics, procurement or related field.
• Experience in real estate industry is an advantage.
• Proven track record in similar purchasing roles.
• Proficiency with management software programs.

About the role

Don Tim Development Corporation (DTDC), a real estate development company with over 70 hectares of prime properties spread across four thriving residential communities - Monte Vista, Alta Monte, Montebello and South Midland is seeking a Purchasing Officer who will play a crucial role in the company's end to end process of purchasing materials, goods, and services essential to ensure smooth operations.

Key responsibilities

• Research potential vendors and negotiate better prices and best payments with both existing and new suppliers

• Source qualified project suppliers (contractors) according to precise technical specifications and serve as the central point of contact for all vendor communications prior to contract award

• Manage purchase orders and ensure timely delivery

• Maintain inventory of the company office assets and supplies

• Source for quality items requested at best price

• Keep updated records for all purchases made by making a retrieval system

• Serve as point person for end users to clarify any purchase requests and fully understand the requirements

• Secure proper approvals by the authorized signatories based on their limits of authority

• Track and maintain status of orders, reporting delivery issues to affected end users and monitor vendor delivery dates

• Receive all delivered items and ensure correctness and completeness of the delivery

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, procurement or an equivalent related working experience similar to the role

• Working experience in real estate industry is an advantage

• Previous track record of success for similar role

• Proficiency in the relevant management software programs

• Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills

• Great organizational and planning skills
